Plain English, because it should be. If anything here isn’t clear, just ask me.
Two things are covered here. What happens to an enquiry you send through this website, and what happens to the sign-up pack and health screening you complete if you start training. They are handled differently, so they are set out separately.
What I collect through this website
If you fill in the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address, which type of training you’re interested in, and whatever you write in the message box. That is all. There are no accounts, no logins and no payments taken through this website.
People often mention an injury or a condition in the message box, which is genuinely useful for me to know. Anything like that is treated the same way as the health information below.
What I collect when you start training
Before your first session you complete a sign-up pack. It asks for:
- Your name, date of birth, phone, email and address
- An emergency contact — their name, phone number and relationship to you
- Your training goals, training history, and any injuries or limitations
- Your answers to a pre-exercise health screening
- If your screening indicates it, details from your doctor or allied health practitioner and any restrictions they set
- Whether you consent to photos or video, and your signature on each section you agree to
I also keep a record of your sessions and what you did in them, so your training can build on itself rather than starting over each week.
Why I collect it
To train you safely and effectively, to reach someone if something happens to you during a session, and to know when to send you to a professional instead of coaching through it. Nothing is collected for marketing, and nothing is used for anything you have not agreed to.
Health information, specifically
Your screening answers, injuries and any practitioner advice are the most sensitive things I hold, and they get the most care. I use them for one purpose: deciding how to train you safely. I do not use them to make judgements about you, and I do not discuss them with other clients.
Who else sees it
As a rule, nobody. I do not sell, rent or trade your details, and I will not add you to a mailing list without asking. There are three narrow exceptions, and they are the only ones:
- A doctor or allied health practitioner, where you and I agree that getting their guidance is the right call — and only what they need to answer the question.
- Emergency services and your emergency contact, if you are injured or unwell during a session and it is necessary to get you help.
- Where the law requires it. If that ever happens I will tell you, unless I am not permitted to.
Photos and video
Entirely optional, ticked separately in the sign-up pack, and it changes nothing about your training either way. You can withdraw permission at any time by telling me — I will stop using the images going forward, and take down what I reasonably can. Images already printed or reshared by someone else cannot always be recalled, which is worth knowing before you tick yes.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Website enquiries arrive as an email in my own inbox and stay there so I can pick up a conversation later. Completed sign-up packs are kept securely and are not left lying around the facility. Nothing is stored on this website itself.
I keep client records while you are training with me and for a period afterwards, because if you come back or a question comes up about a past injury, the record matters. If you want yours destroyed, ask — see below.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google’s servers see your IP address when the page loads. That is the only third party involved in showing you this page.
Your details, your call
You can ask me at any time to tell you what I hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, give you a copy, or destroy it. Email or call or text and I will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, tell me first and I will try to fix it. If that does not resolve it, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Security
The website form is sent over an encrypted connection and delivered straight to my inbox. Paper records are kept out of sight and out of reach of clients and visitors. If something ever goes wrong — a lost pack, a compromised inbox — and it could put you at risk, I will tell you.
Changes
If this statement changes I will update this page. It was last updated in August 2026.
